If your Action Replay DS is not being recognized by the Code Manager Software always says Waiting for DS on the left side, then a driver file may have to be updated on your computer.
Not sure how to tell if you are running Vista 32 or 64 bit. Please follow the simple steps listed below.

Here are the steps used to determine if your Windows Vista operating system is 32 or 64 bit.
Click on the Windows Start Menu.
Type System into the search bar.
When the System Information page has opened and fully loaded you ll see several sections.
This section contains information regarding which edition of Windows and Service Pack you are currently running.
This section will contain the information regarding your PC s processor type speed, the amount of available RAM, and which System Type you are currently running; 32bit or 64bit
Please downlaod the latest version of the Code Manager software uninstall any Code Manager Software that is currently installed on your PC. The software can be found in the support section of www.codejunkies.com
Extract the zipped archive to a folder on your Desktop, and run the included Setup file to install the Action Replay Code Manager Software.
Once the software is installed, connect the Action Replay to the PC via the USB Cable and locate the Action Replay in your PCs Device Manager
Start Menu - Right Click My Computer - Properties - Hardware Tab - Device Manager.
In the Device Manager, the Action Replay DS should be listed under USBIO Controlled Devices as Action Replay DS NDS Link
If the Action Replay is listed as something else under USBIO Controller Devices or as an Unknown Device under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, you will need to update the drivers.
Right Click on the Device and Choose Update Driver
Can Windows Connect To Windows Update To Search For Software. - Choose No, not this time.
What Do You Want The Wizard To Do. - Choose Install from a list or specific location
Please Choose Your Search And Installation Options - Choose Don t search. I will choose the driver to install.
Select the device driver you want to install for this hardware - Choose Have Disc
Copy Manufacturer s Files From - Browse locate the folder that you extracted to your desktop during the software download.
Double Click to open the folder and choose the file called ActionReplayDS.inf and click OK.
Choose Next in the Hardware Update Wizard
If you receive an Update Driver Warning - Choose Yes to continue installing the drivers.
Once the driver installation is complete, the set-up is complete.
Your Action Replay DS should now be recognized by the Code Manager Software.

Right Click on the Device and Choose Update Driver Software
Choose - Browse My Computer For Driver Software
Browse for driver software on your computer. - Choose Let Me Pick From A List Of Drivers On My Computer
Select The Device Driver You Want To Install. - Choose Have Disc
Install From Disc - Choose Browse locate the folder that you extracted to your desktop during the software download.
Double Click to open the folder and choose the file called ActionReplayDS.inf and click OK
You may need to restart your computer for the change to take effect.
Please downlaod the Vista 64-bit version of the Code Manager software uninstall any Code Manager Software that is currently installed on your PC. The software can be found in the support section of www.codejunkies.com
In the Device Manager, the Action Replay DS should be listed under USBIO Controlled Devices as Action Replay DS NDS Link x64
Double Click to open the folder and choose the file called ActionReplayDS_x64.inf and click OK
If the Action Replay is still not recognized by the Code Manager Software
Make sure that the Action Replay loads properly in the Nintendo DS when it is not connected to the PC.
Make sure that there is no damage to the USB Cable or the Mini USB Port at the top of the Action Replay and that the USB Cable is securely connected to the USB Port.
Make sure that the Nintendo DS is powered on and that the Action Replay is inserted into the Nintendo DS and connected to the PC using the USB Cable.
Make sure that the Action Replay DS is in Updating Mode. Press the Yellow Mouse Button on the Action Replay s Main Menu to enter Updating Mode.
Try using a different USB Port on your PC.
Make sure to only have one Code Manager window open at a time.

What is the category the device is listed as in your computer s Device Manager USBIO Controlled Devices, Universal Serial Bus Controllers, etc..
Is the driver currently listed as NDS Data Max, NDS Link, Action Replay Link, or something else in your computer s Device Manager.
What operating system are you using. If Vista, is it a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system.
What version of Code Manager Software do you currently have installed. To find this, click on the 4 dots at the top left of the Code Manager Software Window and Choose About Action Replay Code Manager. The Software Version will be listed in the box that pops up.
Is there any visible damage to the Action Replay s USB Port or the USB Cable.
When the Action Replay is on the main menu, does the Yellow Mouse Button appear on the top right of the touch screen.
Where and when was the Action Replay DS purchased.
